Our Story

To provide a safe and efficient alternative to mechanically

digging around utilities and to offer a solution to unique and otherwise impossible excavations.

What is hydro-excavation?

Hydro-excavation is a new and innovative method for digging. Created to meet the sensitive and unique needs in today’s excavation industry, the process employs a high pressure water stream and powerful vacuum system that provide the capability of digging through any natural soil condition.

The water stream delivered through the unit’s handheld wand pulverizes the soil while the vacuum from the hydrovac unit simultaneously removes the disturbed soil from the work site. It is because of this unique digging process that hydro-excavation proposes no danger to any underground utility.

In addition to safely potholing or slot trenching around buried utilities , our vacuum and high-pressurized water system work exceptionally well for common services such as sinking manholes, cleaning catch basins or vacuuming bentonite from boring pits. And through the use of additional vacuum hose, our trucks can pull material from several hundred feet away making services inside of buildings a possibility.

Hydro-Vac Inc. excavation units are unlike air-vacs, sewer suckers, pressure washers or other vacuum trucks and our efficiency cannot be compared to that of smaller rental units. Hydro-Vac, Inc. excavators are engineered to remove large quantities of soil and designed to do it quickly.
